Summary: This Privacy Policy applies to the BlockGrid mobile puzzle game for iOS and Android. BlockGrid does not require an account and does not collect contacts, location, health data, or account credentials. Gameplay progress is stored locally on your device. The app may show ads through Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads), including rewarded and interstitial ads, and uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) for consent where required. On iOS, Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework may be used before accessing the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA).
1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how BlockGrid (“BlockGrid”, “the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the BlockGrid mobile game.
BlockGrid is a separate product from the AeroLogX pilot logbook service. This page covers BlockGrid only.
For privacy questions, contact us at support@aerologx.net.
2. Scope of This Policy
This policy applies to the current public store version of BlockGrid for iOS and Android, and to related test builds that use the same data and advertising practices.
If future versions add accounts, cloud sync, analytics SDKs beyond advertising measurement provided by AdMob, online leaderboards, or other online features, this policy will be updated before or at the time those features are released.
3. No Account Required
BlockGrid does not require you to create an account, sign in, provide an email address, or provide a phone number.
4. Information We Do Not Collect Through App Features
BlockGrid app features do not collect or request:
- name, email address, phone number, or account credentials;
- contacts or phonebook data;
- precise or approximate location;
- camera, microphone, photos, or media library content;
- payment card or financial information;
- health, biometric, or other sensitive personal information;
- user-generated chat, messages, or social profile data.
Advertising-related identifiers and consent signals may be processed by Google AdMob as described below, subject to your choices and platform rules.
5. Local Data Stored on Your Device
BlockGrid stores certain gameplay and preference data locally on your device so the game can work properly and remember your progress. This local data may include:
| Local data | Purpose | Where it is stored |
|---|---|---|
| Best score and current score-related progress | To show your progress and high score | On your device |
| Coins | To unlock in-game themes and rewards | On your device |
| Unlocked and selected themes | To remember your chosen appearance | On your device |
| Daily reward and daily goal progress | To track local daily reward status | On your device |
| Highest level reached | To display progression information | On your device |
| Sound, music, and volume settings | To remember your audio preferences | On your device |
| Privacy / consent-related preferences | To remember advertising consent or Privacy Options choices where stored locally by the consent SDK | On your device |
This data is stored using local device storage technologies such as SharedPreferences or platform equivalents. BlockGrid does not operate a game backend that uploads this gameplay progress to our servers.
6. Advertising — Google AdMob
BlockGrid uses Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) to display advertisements. Ad formats in the App may include:
- Rewarded ads — for example, bonus continue or double-coins style rewards after watching an ad;
- Interstitial ads — full-screen ads shown at natural break points in gameplay.
Google and its partners may process information to serve, measure, and improve ads. Depending on your consent choices and platform settings, this may include device and advertising identifiers, approximate device/app information, IP address, and interaction with ads.
For Google’s own practices, see Google’s privacy documentation for advertising products, including information available from Google about AdMob / Google Mobile Ads.
7. Advertising and Device Identifiers
To deliver and measure ads, AdMob and the underlying advertising systems may use advertising identifiers such as:
- Android Advertising ID (AAID), where available;
- Apple Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), where available and permitted;
- other device, app, and technical signals commonly used for ad serving and fraud prevention.
Whether personalized advertising is used depends on your consent choices, Privacy Options settings, and platform restrictions (including ATT on iOS).
8. Consent Management (UMP) and GDPR Preferences
Where required (including under GDPR and related EU/UK rules), BlockGrid uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to present a consent / privacy message and collect your advertising preferences.
Through the UMP flow you may be able to:
- accept or manage consent for personalized ads and related purposes;
- choose non-personalized ads where offered;
- review vendor / purpose information presented in the consent form.
Your choices affect whether Google AdMob serves personalized or non-personalized ads in BlockGrid.
9. Personalized and Non-Personalized Ads
Personalized ads use information such as advertising identifiers and inferred interests (as determined by Google and its partners) to show ads that may be more relevant to you, when allowed by your consent and platform settings.
Non-personalized ads do not use your advertising identifier for personalization in the same way; they may still use contextual information (for example, the app you are using), general location derived from IP at a coarse level by the ad provider, and technical signals needed to serve and measure ads.
If you decline personalization where that option is offered, BlockGrid is configured to rely on non-personalized ads where supported by AdMob.
10. Apple ATT / IDFA (iOS)
On iOS, Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework may ask for your permission before the App or advertising SDKs access the IDFA for tracking across apps and websites owned by other companies.
If you do not allow tracking, BlockGrid and AdMob will not use the IDFA for that purpose. Ads may still be shown in a limited or non-personalized form consistent with Apple’s rules and your other privacy choices.
11. Privacy Options — Changing or Withdrawing Consent
You can change your advertising privacy choices after the initial prompt.
In BlockGrid, open Settings and use Privacy Options (or the equivalent privacy / consent entry point shown in the App) to review or update your preferences via the UMP privacy options form where available.
You may also use device-level controls, for example:
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; limit ad tracking / reset advertising identifier as offered by Apple;
- Android: reset or delete advertising ID / opt out of ads personalization in Google settings, as offered by your device version.
Withdrawing consent or opting out of personalization does not remove the App’s ability to show non-personalized ads where permitted.
12. Audio
BlockGrid includes local sound effect files bundled with the app. These are played on your device for gameplay feedback. Sound settings can be changed in the Settings screen. Audio is not streamed from a BlockGrid game server.
13. Permissions
Gameplay does not require contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos, SMS, or phone permissions.
Advertising and consent frameworks may use standard network access to load ads and consent forms. On iOS, the ATT prompt may appear when tracking permission is requested.
14. Third-Party Packages and Services
The current version may use packages and services such as:
| Package / SDK | Purpose | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Flutter SDK | App framework and runtime | Local app runtime |
| shared_preferences | Local device preferences and progress | Local storage only |
| audioplayers | Local sound effect playback | Local asset playback |
| Google Mobile Ads / Google AdMob | Rewarded and interstitial ads | May process advertising identifiers and related data per Google’s policies and your consent |
| Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) | Consent and Privacy Options | Stores and communicates privacy choices for ads |
BlockGrid does not include separate third-party analytics SDKs (such as Firebase Analytics, Meta SDK, Adjust, or AppsFlyer) in the current advertising-focused store build described by this policy, beyond what is inherent to Google’s advertising / consent SDKs.
15. Children’s Privacy
BlockGrid is a casual puzzle game. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children through account creation, chat, or social features, because those features are not part of the App.
Advertising may still be shown through Google AdMob subject to Google’s policies, applicable law, and the consent / ATT choices presented on your device. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us in a way that requires deletion, contact support@aerologx.net.
16. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
When ads are shown, information needed for advertising may be processed by Google and its advertising partners as independent controllers or as described in Google’s documentation. BlockGrid does not operate its own ad network and does not run a game backend that shares local scores or coins with third parties.
17. Data Retention and Security
Local gameplay and settings data remain on your device until you delete the App, clear app data, reset the device, or the operating system removes the data.
Advertising and consent-related data processed by Google are retained according to Google’s policies and your account / device settings with Google, not on a BlockGrid game server.
We design BlockGrid to minimize data we hold ourselves: gameplay progress stays on-device, and we do not operate a BlockGrid account database for this game.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but reducing unnecessary collection helps reduce privacy risk.
18. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal data, or to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
For BlockGrid specifically:
- delete local gameplay data by clearing app data or uninstalling the App;
- change advertising consent via Privacy Options in Settings (UMP);
- use iOS ATT and system advertising controls;
- contact us at support@aerologx.net for privacy requests related to BlockGrid.
Because we do not maintain a BlockGrid user account database, many requests are best handled on-device (deleting the App / clearing data) or through Google’s advertising / privacy tools for AdMob-related processing.
19. International Users
BlockGrid may be available in different countries or regions. Advertising and consent SDKs may process data in the countries where Google and its partners operate. Where required, consent messages are shown before personalized advertising.
20. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when BlockGrid’s data or advertising practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when this policy was last revised.
Material changes — such as adding accounts, cloud sync, new analytics SDKs, or new ad networks — will be reflected in an updated policy and updated store privacy disclosures.
